Frequently asked questions
Getting started
What do I need to get started?
A parent account, created on this website or in the iPhone, iPad or Android app. You add each child yourself; children never create accounts. Each child can then play on their own device, or on yours in child mode.
Which devices does HS Elementals work on?
iPhone and iPad with iOS 17 or later, Android phones and tablets with Android 8.0 or later, and any modern web browser for the parent panel. Everyone in the family shares the same account data, so a check-off on one device shows up on every other.
How does my child sign in?
On the welcome screen they tap I'm a player, type your six-character family code (shown in Settings), pick their hero and enter their 4-digit PIN. The device remembers the family code for next time.
Several children share one tablet. Do they need to sign in each time?
No. Once anyone in the family has signed in, the Account Switcher (Switch player) moves between the children with simple passwords like 1234 or abc, which you set in Settings. A tablet a child signed in to only lists the children; one you signed in to also lists you.
Can my child use my phone?
Yes. Set a parent PIN in Settings, then open your child's page and choose Hand to child. Your child sees only their own hero. To take the phone back, tap the lock and enter your parent PIN.
How do I add another parent?
In Settings, under Parents, create an invite for the other parent's email. We don't send email: share the link yourself. It works once and expires after 7 days.
Playing
What happens when hearts or manna run out?
Nothing bad. The hero just looks sleepy until the next finished quest, a health potion or a manna loaf brings them back. Nothing is lost.
How much gold should I give?
Keep it rare: about 5 to 15 gold a week, saved for the unexpected, like kindness, extra effort or a hard thing done well. Small heart rewards (a quarter or half heart) for every class and chore keep the hero going day to day.
My child checked something off by mistake.
If it's waiting for approval, your child can withdraw it, or you can choose Not yet. A parent can undo an approved check-off on the same day from the child's page; the hearts, gold and manna it gave are taken back.
We're going on a field trip. How do I skip today's lessons?
Open the item in the weekly schedule and choose Skip on this date. Skipped items don't count toward the day's quests, manna or streak.
What are certificates?
Real-life treats you write once, such as "Free ice cream" or "Pick the family game", and attach to any quests. Finishing the quest earns your child a certificate for their wallet. When they want to use it, they ask, and you mark it used (or say "not today").
Account and billing
How long is the free trial?
14 days from the moment you create your family, with no card needed. See Pricing for the plans.
I subscribed in the App Store or Google Play. Can I manage it here?
Store subscriptions are managed in the store you bought from: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › Payments & subscriptions. Web subscriptions are managed in the web panel under Settings › Manage billing.
I forgot my password.
Write to us from the email address on your account and we'll help you back in.
How do I delete our data?
Any parent can delete the whole family, a single child, or their own parent account in Settings, in the apps or the web panel. Deletion is immediate and permanent. More about deleting an account.
What information do you keep about my children?
Only a display name, birthdate, PIN and optional switcher password (both stored scrambled) and their character choices, plus their game activity. Children have no email address. There are no ads and no tracking. See our privacy policy.
